Final post for 2017 (from school)

Today is the last day we get our chromebooks at school for 2017. We all have had an awesome time in team four. I really want to stay in team four because it is really fun but next year I am going to team 5 that is known as room 1 , 2 , 3, 4, 5, that is going to be really fun but not as fun as team four. this year my Literacy teacher is Mr Goodwin, my home room teacher is Mr Goodwin and my maths teacher is Mr Goodwin so i'm in room seven all day.

My highlights for this year were about having fun and doing some work. sometimes we do fun things with Mr Goodwin and we also do fun things with Mrs Stickland.

I feel like I learned about a lot of things and I have but I only been here for a little bit but thats ok because I have learned almost everything I have even learned about hilary the man who climbed mount everest.

Next year I am feeling excited because I can't wait for learning in team 5. I can't wait to be in team  5 because it will be awesome and cool I like everything that team 5 does.

Hour of code.

Today we are learning how to code and our teacher let us do hour of code and it is really cool.

The first settlers.

It's hard to believe but the first people to get to New Zealand  was  from Polynesia. Most history people believe that they landed in New Zealand over 700 years ago. Most of them have many different countries. They learned to live together and they finally formed their own culture known as maori. Maori has  all sorts of things like their own culture their own language and last but not less transitions.
Here are three facts about Maui.
1. Maui is great at fishing  and he is a great fisherman
2. Maui has some mean brothers.
3. Maui is kind to everybody.
 I have also heard about maui and the sun.

 

At school when the year six's are at camp.

On the 21st of November the year six’s went to camp. It was so boring without the year six’s but we had a lot of fun, I guess?

When the year six’s went in the morning I was standing by the door waiting for my cousin lillyana but when I said the words “I’m lonely” I saw a big footprint on the ground. After that Lillyana finally came to school then we went to the park not even worried about the big footprint on the ground.  

When we went to the park I saw a humongous giant and he was running after us so we had to hide somewhere so the humongous giant couldn’t get us. When we didn’t see the giant we went to class and worked. After that we ate our lunch and  went outside to play. We went around the school looking for our friends so we can play man hunt.

Then we saw them at the park so we went to the park to ask if they wanted to play man hunt with us and when I said that guess what happened, yes you are right! The giant was there and he said I want to play man hunt with you, how do you play? We said you have to get into partners and then one group has to hide and the rest has to count and that’s how you play.

I enjoyed playing man hunt and I learnt that you can play with who ever you like. I would like to thank everybody that was in my story.

Film Festival Day

Walt: using descriptive language

Dear organizers and helpers thank you guys so much for helping us to look after the little one’s and helping our school get to the movies.

The manaiakalani film festival is just schools going to the movies to watch movies that every classroom has made. If you see a manaiakalani film festival movie it will entertain  you because all movies are like a little play and it is cool so check it out.

My favorite part about the movies was watching room seven’s movie because it was cool it was all about time travel or as we call it the Time Machine our movie was all about this boy who did something wrong very wrong so he ran into a room.

Next year i’m hoping to see new movies and not the same. I hope we have a great day there nothing else to say I hope I get new partners because everybody needs a new partner or new partners right?

I enjoyed room seven’s movie it was perfect I really liked it. I learned that when you do something wrong don’t run away just make it right with the person that you sent something mean or you did something mean so just make it right with them.

Today we are learning about well we are not learning we are writing a thank you letter to all of the  helper's that have helped us when we went  to the movies to watch or school movies.

Athletics day

Walt: using descriptive language

Dear helpers thank you so much for taking your time off to come and help do our athletics day I wish you a great day I hope you are feeling well today have a good day today.

Athletics day is a kind of sport that has a lot of things that you can do but it is a lot of fun. There is sprint's taga war and a lot more actives and you can have a lot of fun.`

My favorite part was when we did taga war and sprint’s it was very fun doing Athletics and when we started taga war Mr E picked two group’s and the two groups were green and red so some of the yellow group was going for green and some were going for red. Then the next two groups went up and it was the yellow and blue and the yellow came second and green came first.      

Next year my goal is to encourage the yellow team and hoping that they come at least second or third. I hope that we will get better and better at Athletics and hoping that it will help us to get fit and play hard.

I enjoyed taga war and sprint’s. I learnt that getting better at something means you get better and better. You will keep on getting better until you are a an adult and you will have fun.

Today we are doing some writing and we have to chose Athletics day or the Film Festival so I picked Athletics day and this is my writing about Athletics.

Limericks

Today we are learning about Limericks and how to make our own Limerick. So we just made three slides just to make it easy and so we do it right so this is my one.

Long day today.

Today was a long day first my mum woke us up then I got ready for my training but me lorenzo and zac were late but we still made it to the end of training. at the end of training we went back home and when we got back I saw my brother and my cousin ben but when I looked at them they looked like joker and my little cousin malakai when I looked at him he said this to me tana look I am spider man and I said cool so I went home because I was at my auntie's house so I walked home and my mum said that if I want to go with them to help celie to unpack because she just moved in so me my mum and my dad went to her new house to help her unpack and we were giving her our chair's and more things but then when we got there we went up the driveway and called her so when she answered her phone she said that she was in bed but at her old house because she wanted to get the rest of her things so the first thing that she going to take back to her new was her bed so we waited and waited but she never came so we went to get something to eat and then we went back to her house and then we texted her and said that we will just put the things in the front for you then after we did that we went back home but then we stopped and went to the shop to get an ice cream and we went home but then we had to get my brother ready to go down to huntly and then by the time we got there it was night time and then we stayed for an hour and then we left because we were not going to stay because they had a full house so we went home but on the way home my dad got us some food and then we parked up on the side and then we ate our food after that we went home and watch our phones and other things like tv.

Beware Ads

Today is cybersmart monday and we have learnt that when you see an ad you don't click on it or the scam's will take your money because they will ask for your bank number and then they will have all of your money. 

Alien Description.

Today Mrs stickland said that we are going to be description and this is my work that I did for today and I have just finished it. there are four. 

Cross Country.

Walt: structure a recount.

At lunch trendy naomi maria calais hine makalay then and I were running around the field to get ready for cross county. But there was one problem  it was to muddy but I didn’t care I just run in the mud because I had to practice running but I didn’t want to stop but I had to stop but then the bell rang so we had to line up by our classroom and then we had to go to the courts by the field then we listened to mr brut talking to us about cross country. So that we will do our best for cross country. Then after mr burt finished talking to us so we can talk to each other and when maria came to talk to me jaylim started to talk to me then leiite and then lepa so we all talked to each other. After that me and maria played a game then william played with to he just jumped in the game. So then leitte jaylim and lepa just watched us play the game until it was time for the run.  

Before the race started maria and I were just making things up so when the year one’s  started to run and maria and I wanted to stand up but we were not alone to stand up because the other kids could see but there were big kids behind us so we had to sit down but the kids in front of us were standing up so we could not see what was going on or what was happening so I was standing up but we go told to sit down so we sat down but we didn’t see anything.  So just before we went to do the run because we were before the boys because we were girls but just before the girls went leiite said good luck santana and I said thanks. I said good luck to him too. During the race maria and I was walking because maria and I was tried to run but then I started to run and then maria slipped in the mud. After maria slipped in mud I was Laughing but then we started to run again. When we went passed a teacher he said keep going girls you are doing great and we said thank you so we keep on running. After we went passed three year eight and the teacher was near us so she said you're doing great girls bet the year eight girls. So we went running to the finish line and my mum and auntie was Cheering and Clapping for me. I learned how to run fast and how to handle the mud when I walked in it and it felt bad so I just keep running until I got back to the finish line so I can be done running because I was tired of running so I was sitting down then I went to get a drink but my legs were shaking.

This my work that I did and this writing is about cross country day. We all had to post a recount on our blog to tell people that want to know what we did for cross country and what we did before that.

Stardome trip.

Last thursday team four went to stardom on one tree hill and we did a quiz and then we went to watch a cool movie that was in the dome and were the dome is is in a big room. Have you ever being to stardome?

When we got off the bus Mr Goodwin said that we were early and Mr Goodwin said that we were aloud to play at the park until Mr Goodwin says stop look and listen so we played and played. We played some games and the games were tag slap tag climbing & sliding down the slide. But we didn’t have time to go on the flying fox so we just played on the park. Trendy kayla & Tupuia were playing slap tag and the rest were just playing on the slide playing tag or climbing. Then Mr Goodwin said stop look and listen so we stopped looked and listened. So we got into our groups and we were in Queen Miss Lynn and Queen Miss Nua so the people in our group were Calais, Kayla, Tata, Laura, Tupuia, Tehillah, Me Santana.

When we got our paper that had the quiz that we were looking for and the things that were on the paper we had to find the answer so we did find the answers and the leader that I was with because she had the girls and groups four our leader was with the boys. The girls leader the group that I was in was named Queen Miss Nua and the boys leader was named Queen Miss Lynn and when we found the last answer we gave our paper to the lady standing next to the door that we come out of and then we found out the we were the second group to finish then we lined up by the dome. When we finished lining up we went inside to the dome and then we went all the way to the back and sat down then the man turned on the movie and we all looked up then we could watch the movie and then when I was watching the movie suddenly it went dark and I could not see anything but I fainted and then I had to go outside and have a break of the movie then I went back in and I went to get a cup of water and then I was aloud to go back in to watch the rest of the movie with the teacher because she was the one who help me and came with the teacher because she was looking after me then when the movie was over I went with Miss Parrant. We learned how the planets work and we learned about a lot of things that we didn’t learn about in the class and then we learned what the answers were when we were doing the quiz and we all found the answers to the quiz.

This is what we learned and what we did at stardome and the park and the park and the stardome that we went to was near one tree hill.

Problem Solving Practice Term 3 Wk 5

This term mr goodwin put a new presentation for the pacmans so I did it and this is it.

One sunny day I decided it was a perfect day to see the Eight planets in our solar system. I must go to my spaceship and get everything Ready for blast off.

Now why I am going to space is because I am going to look for a planet  that has air so I can live on it because earth was to smelly to live on so countdown with me 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, blast off.

I have just landed on mercury I have to see if mercury is a good planet live on. I had no time to say a thing because it was getting really hot. I wanted to take of my suit but there is no air on the planet. Plus mercury is a rocky planet. Off to the next planet. I wonder what it’s like?

Now I have just landed on venus I need to see if this is great planet to live on. Venus is the second planet from the sun so it is always fairly close to the sun in the sky.Off to the next planet. I wonder what it’s like?

I think I should just fly past earth because I am looking for a different planet to live on. off to the next planet. I wonder what it’s like?

I have just landed on mars I wonder what they have this planet. So I went to look around the planet for any unusual  things on this planet off we go to look for any unusual things but when we just walked around mars I saw a big big monster on the planet so I ran and ran until I ran out of breath but when I turned around the mounter was gone so I said to myself I don’t want to live on this planet off to the next planet. I wonder what it’s like?

I have landed on Jupiter I wonder what they have here not like mars I think it is better than mars because there was a big big mounter running after me so I think that this planet is going to be good. But when said that people was there I asked them their names but they said nothing so I went back my spaceship off to the next planet. I wonder what it’s like?

I have just landed on saturn I wonder what it is like here I hope it is better than Jupiter and mars. When I said that someone said hi what’s your name so I looked around to see if there was someone here but there was nobody else was there so went back to ship this planet was not good for me to live on off to the next planet. I wonder what it’s like?

I have landed on uranus I wonder what is on this planet hopefully there was no bad things here because I am tired of running but there was a bad smell coming from the other side of the planet so I went to look what was there guess what it was yes a big fat hairy mounter so I run back to the ship off to the next planet. I wonder what it’s like?

I have just landed on the final planet neptune what is on this planet I am ready for whatever is coming so I can hide behind something so I can see what is the thing that is on this planet but I could hear something coming from behind me so I turned around so what was behind me was a big hairy alien so I run from it. I run back to my spaceship off to the next planet. I wonder what it’s like?

There are no planets that a good for me to live on I should go back to earth because the planets That I have seen it is not good earth is just right it’s time to home it was fun seeing the eight planets but I think that earth is the planet that I want to live on back home for me. Earth is not smelly it is just right off I go to the planet earth home to you and me.

today we are learning about satellites and  we had to do some reading and we did this it is all about satellites. the reading was about satellites.

In term three we were learning about how to grow and hide on planets. venus was not a good planet to grow the crops and mercury is not a good planet to hide because it is way too small to hide on so we were learning about planets most of the time.
