As we started I got even more nervous, before we even got to the part were they said go, Mr Somerville told us to stand up straight when he said on your mast , get set is when you bend down a little and then we went when he said go, most people sprinted but then again some people jogged, the year sevens and eights had to go around the pt England reserve and our own school field twice, but when I got to the goal post I saw that I was coming third, when I got to the green gate I stopped running for a little bit. Then at the end we all got water and rested.

Explaining Writing: What is the purpose of school?

WALT: Write about what we think is the purpose of school.

What is the purpose of school?

Introduction:
Why do you think school is important? Well guess what, there is going to be about 3 reasons of what is the purpose of school, what do you think is the purpose of school is? Well learning is one of the reasons but let’s get to explaining!

Reason 1:
The first reason that we personally agree on is learning, we think that learning is one of the reasons why school is important. Learning includes having fun math, and literacy. I personally say that maths is my favorite subject.

Reason 2:
The second reason is what I think is a good reason for why school is actually important, well school is important because you have to get a good education to get a good job, to get a good education you have to stay in school and learn a lot, if you want to get your dream job like being a lawyer or a doctor then you will have to go to a different university, one that includes becoming a doctor or a lawyer.

Reason 3:
Lastly I think that listening is my last reason because, you have to listen to the teacher so she or he can teach you, listening is actually another word for being good, so you have to be good and listen to what your teacher has to say, so you can have a great day and your teacher can be nice.

Conclusion:
Thank you for reading this, I hope you enjoyed reading my writing about what is the purpose of school, enjoy being your age, listen to your teachers, help make it easy and learn, and finally get a good education so you can get a good job!

TASK DESCRIPTION: In room 3 home class we are writing about what is the purpose of school, read my reasons and see why I think that school is important.

I think I will have to consider it is safe to use just don't touch where the hooks are.

Step 1: I used a pencil and a ruler to make a full size working drawing of my Jewellery tree because we did to see how we are going to make it and how it will be made.

Step 2: I used a pencil and tri-square to copy the measurements from my drawing onto the wood so we can get started on my Jewellery tree.

Step 3: I marked a Square line (at 90) across and continued to make the line until it got to the other side using a Tri-Square and a Pencil.

Step 4: I cut off the first piece of wood using a Bench hook and a backed saw, and also I got a Tri-Square to see if the measurements were right.

Step 5: I then marked out the joint using a pencil, Tri-Square and my other piece of wood that I cut out.

Step 6: After that, I got a wood chisel and a mallet to properly cut out my joint so I could see if the other piece of wood fits in it.

Step 7: After I got Mr. Grundy to check my work, then he asked me if I wanted a shape on it and I said yes, so he told me to mark or draw the shape I wanted on it,

Step 8: After I mark or drew the shape which was a diamond, so I gave it to Mr. Grundy and he cut the diamond out.
