WALT: We are learning to write about fiafia or our holiday.
This morning my mum woke me up and I got ready for the last day of school but then I realised that it was fiafia, I was excited for fiafia because I have not performed on the big stage before. When I got to school I was talking about it with my teacher’s Mrs Sio & Mrs Salu, When the bell rang I sat down in the street so one of our teacher’s can talk to all of us and see what we are doing today. When we went to our home class to take the roll and then we went to our maths class. When we finished maths we went back to our home class to eat our morning tea but as we realised that the day was over and time for fiafia but first I went home to wait until it was time to go back to school but the thing is we had to wear our uniform, When we got to school the school bell rang and that bell was to get to your changing rooms, so I went to the niuean changing room and got changed but it was very hard because we had sisi’s for the whole niuean group, The boys had sisi’s on their wastie arms legs and neck and the girls had sisi’s on their wastie and neck. When we got changed Mrs Nua called out that we have to make our way to the stage and sit down while we wait for the first group to perform, The first group to perform was the senior kapa haka group and the dance was cool. The next group to perform was the junior kapa haka group and so on until it got the the niuean group. After the niuean group performed including me and my cousin ben we went home and before we went home my nana and my big cousin gave us $10 each but my brother was to late so in the morning my nana gave him $10 and then we went home and went to sleep.
We are learning to write about our holiday or fiafia.
Wow Santana! Fiafia night was a hectic day - but incredible! I wonder what a sisi is? I wonder how you felt when you were on the stage?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like fun but It was freezing to me watching the teachers wear their warm as jacket and look at us freezing cold
